The work Yellow Touch by Sarah Slappey was worth USD 100,800.00 (€ 90,868.12) to a buyer in March last year. This price was achieved in the auction New Now at Phillips in New York and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of USD 12,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Sarah Slappey; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Black Pearls II sold at auction in December last year with the realized price of HKD 1,008,000.00 (€ 120,794.17).
