The work Wall - 1988 by Sean Scully was sold in the Limited Edition auction at Artcurial in May this year. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 13,776.00 72% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sean Scully achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Song in May last year with an auction result of USD 2,046,500.00 (€ 1,907,091.60).

Die Arbeit Wall - 1988 von Sean Scully wurde im Mai diesen Jahres in der Auktion Limited Edition bei Artcurial versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 13.776,00 und damit 72% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sean Scully erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Song im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.046.500,00 (€ 1.907.091,60).
