Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In July 2014 Christies in London held the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art Evening Auction, which included the work SP220 by Sterling Ruby. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 900,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,022,500.00 (€ 1,289,693.99). Other works by Sterling Ruby have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of USD 1,785,000.00 (€ 1,374,345.55) in May 2013 for the work Sp231.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juli 2014 führte Christies in London die Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art Evening Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit SP220 von Sterling Ruby zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 900.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 1.022.500,00 (€ 1.289.693,99) einen neuen Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Sterling Ruby haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.785.000,00 (€ 1.374.345,55) im Mai 2013 für die Arbeit Sp231 beobachtet.
