Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2020 Sothebys in Paris held the auction Contemporary Art | Paris, which included the work Memento Mori (Vase Grec) by Théo Mercier. It changed hands for a price of EUR 3,780.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 3,000.00 – 4,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Théo Mercier - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Memento Mori (Vase Grec), which sold at auction in December 2017 for EUR 10,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2020 führte Sothebys in Paris die Auktion Contemporary Art | Paris durch, in der auch die Arbeit Memento Mori (Vase Grec) von Théo Mercier zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 3.780,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 3.000,00 – 4.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Théo Mercier mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Memento Mori (Vase Grec) beobachtet, die im Dezember 2017 für EUR 10.000,00 versteigert wurde.
