Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2021 Christies held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included the work Substrat 12 III by Thomas Ruff. The price achieved of GBP 43,750.00 (€ 51,831.93) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 35,000.00 – 55,000.00. Admittedly, works by Thomas Ruff have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Jpeg pt01 in March 2017 with an auction result of GBP 197,000.00 (€ 230,864.55).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2021 führte Christies die Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Substrat 12 III von Thomas Ruff zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 43.750,00 (€ 51.831,93) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 35.000,00 – 55.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Thomas Ruff auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Jpeg pt01 im März 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 197.000,00 (€ 230.864,55).
