Upper estimate price exceeded by 26%
The work Heart of the Sunrise by Wes Lang was sold in the New Now auction at Phillips in London in April this year. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 18,900 (€ 22,538), 26% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wes Lang achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Unity Within in September this year with an auction result of USD 252,000 (€ 257,590).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 26% übertroffen
Die Arbeit Heart of the Sunrise von Wes Lang wurde im April diesen Jahres in der Auktion New Now bei Phillips in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 18.900 (€ 22.538) und damit 26% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wes Lang erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Unity Within im September diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 252.000 (€ 257.590).
