This artwork by Wolfgang Tillmans achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in September 2019. In the First Open | Online auction, the work (i) Hallenbad, Detail(ii) Katie & Robert II sold for GBP 11,875.00 (€ 13,399.53) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wolfgang Tillmans achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Freischwimmer #84 in June 2017 with an auction result of GBP 605,000.00 (€ 688,982.12).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 98 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Wolfgang Tillmans erzielte im September 2019 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion First Open | Online wurde die Arbeit (i) Hallenbad, Detail(ii) Katie & Robert II für GBP 11.875,00 (€ 13.399,53) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wolfgang Tillmans erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Freischwimmer #84 im Juni 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 605.000,00 (€ 688.982,12).
