Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In June 2016 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Boundless: Contemporary Art, which included the work Dark Lens by Zhong Biao. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 81,250.00 (€ 9,493.41), 16% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Zhong Biao have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Marksman in March 2008 with an auction result of USD 121,000.00 (€ 76,558.05).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juni 2016 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Boundless: Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Dark Lens von Zhong Biao zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 81.250,00 (€ 9.493,41) und damit 16% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zhong Biao auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Marksman im März 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 121.000,00 (€ 76.558,05).
