Of life between the islands as well as the cycle of life and death
This week there are a couple of exhibitions that deal with life. While the Tate Britain is highlighting the lives of Caribbean artists in Britain in a group exhibition, the Kunstverein Hamburg is showing the cycle of life and death through an atmospheric narrative by Korakrit Arunanondchai. In addition, the Art Miami fair and a special exhibition on hair sculptures and digital art are running at ARoS.
In Miami, Florida, the international fair for modern and contemporary art, Art Miami, presents high-quality works, solo exhibitions and impressive installations by 140 renowned international galleries from 17 different countries until 05 December 2021. Among the works of more than 600 artists, works by Pablo Picasso, Alexander Calder, Yayoi Kusama, Robert Rauschenberg, Jeff Koons, Willem de Kooning, Roy Lichtenstein, Gerhard Richter, Andy Warhol and Keith Haring will be on display. In addition, the sister fair, CONTEXT Art Miami, will take place parallel to Art Miami. Here, 61 international galleries exhibit and show, among other things, works that have been developed especially for the fair, including curatorial projects, solo presentations by artists and a series of special exhibitions.
