Auction result misses estimated price range
In June 2003 a collector was able to acquire the work Landscape with a boat in a canal by Adrien-Jean Le Mayeur De Merprès for EUR 5,975.00. This price was achieved in the auction Twentieth Century Art including Belgian Art at Christies in Amsterdam and was even below the estimate range of EUR 6,000.00 – 8,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Adrien-Jean Le Mayeur De Merprès achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Women Around the Lotus Pond in May 2016 with an auction result of HKD 30,360,000.00 (€ 3,509,054.33).
