This artwork by Alberto Burri achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in May 2011. In the Post-War and Contemporary Art Evening Sale auction, the work Rosso Plastica sold for USD 1,986,500.00 (€ 1,381,816.92) - well above the upper estimate of USD 700,000.00. Admittedly, works by Alberto Burri have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sacco E Rosso in February 2016 with an auction result of GBP 9,109,000.00 (€ 11,672,058.70).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Alberto Burri erzielte im Mai 2011 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Evening Sale wurde die Arbeit Rosso Plastica für USD 1.986.500,00 (€ 1.381.816,92) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 700.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alberto Burri auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sacco E Rosso im Februar 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 9.109.000,00 (€ 11.672.058,70).
