Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Three plates from: The Small Woodcut Passion (Bartsch 33, 35, 43; Meder, Hollstein 138, 144, 152) by Albrecht Dürer was sold in the Old Master & Decorative, Modern & Contemporary Prints auction at Christies in London in December 2010. It achieved a price of GBP 3,000.00 (€ 3,479.99), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 20%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Albrecht Dürer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Christ Being Nailed To The Cross in January 2016 with an auction result of USD 874,000.00 (€ 806,868.54).
