Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Dollar Sign by Andy Warhol was auctioned at Christies in New York in November 2019. The price achieved of USD 387,000.00 (€ 351,211.54) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 300,000.00 – 500,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Andy Warhol achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Shot Sage Blue Marilyn in May last year with an auction result of USD 195,040,000.00 (€ 181,753,797.41).
