This artwork by Cady Noland achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in July 2020. In the Contemporary Art | New York auction, the work Political Ad For Barry Goldwater sold for USD 68,750.00 (€ 58,391.37) - well above the upper estimate of USD 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cady Noland achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bluewald in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 9,797,000.00 (€ 8,911,224.30).
