Auction result well in line with expectations
The work For the Love of God (D.A.B.D.A) by Damien Hirst was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2009. The price achieved of GBP 67,250.00 (€ 76,308.59) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Damien Hirst achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Lullaby Spring in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 9,652,000.00 (€ 14,323,082.54).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit For the Love of God (D.A.B.D.A) von Damien Hirst kam im Juli 2009 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 67.250,00 (€ 76.308,59) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Damien Hirst erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Lullaby Spring im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 9.652.000,00 (€ 14.323.082,54).
