Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In July 2020 Christies in New York held the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included the work Ann by David Hockney. The »bidding war« ended at USD 42,500.00 (€ 36,096.48), 21% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Hockney achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nichols Canyon in December 2020 with an auction result of USD 41,067,500.00 (€ 33,579,313.16).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juli 2020 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Ann von David Hockney zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 42.500,00 (€ 36.096,48) und damit 21% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von David Hockney erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Nichols Canyon im Dezember 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 41.067.500,00 (€ 33.579.313,16).
