lithograph in colors, on two sheets of TGL handmade paper, 1985, signed and dated in pencil, numbered 66/70 (there were also eighteen artist's proofs in Roman Numerals), published by Tyler Graphics, Ltd., Mount Kisco, New York, with their blindstamp, with full margins, apparently in very good condition, not examined out of the frame

Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April 2017 Christies in New York held the auction Prints & Multiples, which included the work Hotel Acatlán: First Day, from Moving Focus by David Hockney. Here, the upper estimate of USD 50,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 56,250.00 (€ 51,629.19). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Hockney achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nichols Canyon in December 2020 with an auction result of USD 41,067,500.00 (€ 33,579,313.16).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im April 2017 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Prints & Multiples durch, in der auch die Arbeit Hotel Acatlán: First Day, from Moving Focus von David Hockney zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 50.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 56.250,00 (€ 51.629,19) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von David Hockney erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Nichols Canyon im Dezember 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 41.067.500,00 (€ 33.579.313,16).
