This artwork by Derek Fordjour achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in London in October 2019. In the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Evening Sale auction, the work Green Horn sold for GBP 137,500.00 (€ 159,490.14) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by Derek Fordjour have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Ornithologist in May last year with an auction result of USD 945,000.00 (€ 880,626.22).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Derek Fordjour erzielte im Oktober 2019 bei Phillips in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Evening Sale wurde die Arbeit Green Horn für GBP 137.500,00 (€ 159.490,14) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 50.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Derek Fordjour auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Ornithologist im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 945.000,00 (€ 880.626,22).
