Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Egon Schiele could be acquired at Christies in London in June this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Impressionist and Modern Art Day and Works on Paper Sale auction, the work Liegender Akt changed hands for GBP 140,000 (€ 162,640) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 150,000 – 250,000. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Egon Schiele achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Häuser Mit Bunter Wäsche (Vorstadt Ii) Houses With Laundry (Suburb Ii) in June 2011 with an auction result of GBP 24,681,250 (€ 27,305,215).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Egon Schiele konnte im Juni diesen Jahres bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art Day and Works on Paper Sale wechselte die Arbeit Liegender Akt für GBP 140.000 (€ 162.640) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 150.000 – 250.000. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Egon Schiele erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Häuser Mit Bunter Wäsche (Vorstadt Ii) Houses With Laundry (Suburb Ii) im Juni 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 24.681.250 (€ 27.305.215).
