Sold at the upper estimate price
In May this year Bukowski in Stockholm held the auction Modern Art + Design, which included the work "Noir avec Blanc" from "Suite of Twenty-seven Lithographs" by Ellsworth Kelly. The auction ended at the price of SEK 50,000.00 (€ 4,308.24), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of SEK 40,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ellsworth Kelly achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Red Curve VII in November 2019 with an auction result of USD 9,809,000.00 (€ 8,901,896.72).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im Mai diesen Jahres führte Bukowski in Stockholm die Auktion Modern Art + Design durch, in der auch die Arbeit "Noir avec Blanc" from "Suite of Twenty-seven Lithographs" von Ellsworth Kelly zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von SEK 50.000,00 (€ 4.308,24) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von SEK 40.000,00 – 50.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ellsworth Kelly erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Red Curve VII im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 9.809.000,00 (€ 8.901.896,72).
