In June last year Christies in London held the auction Impressionist and Modern Art Day and Works on Paper Sale, which included the work Honfleur. Pêcheurs sur la grève by Eugène Boudin. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 69,300.00 (€ 80,506.89), 26% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Eugène Boudin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La plage de Trouville in March last year with an auction result of GBP 2,262,000.00 (€ 2,681,855.58).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 26 % übertroffen
Im Juni letzten Jahres führte Christies in London die Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art Day and Works on Paper Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Honfleur. Pêcheurs sur la grève von Eugène Boudin zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 69.300,00 (€ 80.506,89) und damit 26% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Eugène Boudin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La plage de Trouville im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.262.000,00 (€ 2.681.855,58).
