Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2014 a collector was able to acquire the work Grayson Rises (photographic still from The Rape of the Sabine Women) by Eve Sussman for USD 9,375.00 (€ 7,423.98). This price was achieved in the auction Under the Influence at Phillips in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00 set by the auction house. Other works by Eve Sussman have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in September 2012 by the work Gomorrah at USD 17,500.00 (€ 13,612.32).
