In the Old Master & British Pictures Evening Sale auction, the work Palazzo Ducale And The Libreria, Venice, From The Bacino Di San Marco; And Santa Maria Della Salute, Venice, With The Punto Della Dogana In The Distance sold for GBP 458,500.00 (€ 590,241.55) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 250,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Francesco Tironi; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot The Grand Canal with the Rialto Bridge from the South; Saint Mark's Square with the Basilica and the Campanile sold at auction in July 2021 with the realized price of GBP 525,000.00 (€ 615,671.36).
