Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Rebecca, a bay hunter with Billy, a bulldog, in a stable by Frank Babbage was auctioned at Christies in London in June 2003. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 881.25 (€ 1,266.40) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Frank Babbage have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Bearwardcote Blaze, a prize-winning shire horse in June 2003 with an auction result of GBP 3,995.00 (€ 5,741.03).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Rebecca, a bay hunter with Billy, a bulldog, in a stable von Frank Babbage kam im Juni 2003 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 881,25 (€ 1.266,40) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
