Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2009 Phillips in London held the auction Contemporary Art Day, which included the work BAB-02 by Frank Nitsche. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 16,250.00 (€ 18,148.68) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Frank Nitsche - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work OGY-12-2004, which sold at auction in October 2006 for GBP 28,800.00 (€ 43,029.77).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2009 führte Phillips in London die Auktion Contemporary Art Day durch, in der auch die Arbeit BAB-02 von Frank Nitsche zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 16.250,00 (€ 18.148,68) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Frank Nitsche mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit OGY-12-2004 beobachtet, die im Oktober 2006 für GBP 28.800,00 (€ 43.029,77) versteigert wurde.
