Admittedly, works by Gabriele Münter have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Gelbes Haus mit Apfelbaum (recto); Landschaft (verso) in March last year with an auction result of GBP 1,782,000.00 (€ 2,112,761.56).

Die Arbeit Lampe im Fenster von Gabriele Münter kam im Juni letzten Jahres bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 378.000,00 (€ 439.128,47) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 26%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gabriele Münter auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Gelbes Haus mit Apfelbaum (recto); Landschaft (verso) im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.782.000,00 (€ 2.112.761,56).
