Auction result well in line with expectations
The work God Knows Where This Is by Ged Quinn was auctioned at Sothebys in London in June 2013. The price achieved of GBP 74,500.00 (€ 86,954.84) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ged Quinn - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Gone to Yours, which sold at auction in February 2011 for GBP 193,250.00 (€ 227,632.33).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit God Knows Where This Is von Ged Quinn kam im Juni 2013 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 74.500,00 (€ 86.954,84) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Ged Quinn mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Gone to Yours beobachtet, die im Februar 2011 für GBP 193.250,00 (€ 227.632,33) versteigert wurde.
