Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May last year Phillips in New York held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Morning Session, which included this untitled work by Georges Valmier. The »bidding war« ended at USD 11,970.00 (€ 11,154.60), 20% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Georges Valmier achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nature Morte Au Compotier in November 2014 with an auction result of USD 725,000.00 (€ 582,891.14).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Phillips in New York die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Morning Session durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Georges Valmier zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 11.970,00 (€ 11.154,60) und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Georges Valmier erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Nature Morte Au Compotier im November 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 725.000,00 (€ 582.891,14).
