Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Veduta del Castello dell'Acqua Felice by Giovanni Battista Piranesi was auctioned at Bonhams in New York in September this year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 700.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 768.00 (€ 725.62). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giovanni Battista Piranesi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work An architectural fantasy: the entrance to a palace with a monumental staircase by a fountain in January 2001 with an auction result of USD 358,000.00 (€ 384,615.38).
Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit An architectural fantasy: the entrance to a palace with a monumental staircase by a fountain im Januar 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 358.000,00 (€ 384.615,38).
