Auction result well in line with expectations
In March last year Christies in London held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included the work Ethnic Cleansing Pattern by Grayson Perry. The price achieved of GBP 16,380.00 (€ 19,420.33) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Grayson Perry achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work I Want To Be An Artist in October 2017 with an auction result of GBP 632,750.00 (€ 721,458.86).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März letzten Jahres führte Christies in London die Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Ethnic Cleansing Pattern von Grayson Perry zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 16.380,00 (€ 19.420,33) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Grayson Perry erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit I Want To Be An Artist im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 632.750,00 (€ 721.458,86).
