HEINZ MACK (B. 1931) Two prints by the artist Including: Struktur in Schwarz Vibration I, lithograph, on wove paper, 1959, signed and dated in pencil, numbered 44/50, published by Dr. Schiessel, Freiburg, Germany; together with Rotor, from Kölner Kunstmarkt 1972, screenprint in colors with embossing, on gold metallic wove paper, 1972, signed and dated in pencil, numbered 86/180, published by Verein progressiver deutscher Kunsthändler e.V., Cologne, each the full sheet or with full margins, in generally good condition
Auction result misses estimated price range
In April this year a collector was able to acquire the work Two prints by the artist by Heinz Mack for USD 1,764.00 (€ 1,597.83). This price was achieved in the auction The Sale of the Century: An Important Corporate Collection of Prints and Multiples: Online at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Heinz Mack achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Kleiner Urwald. in November 2018 with an auction result of EUR 1,190,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im April diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Two prints by the artist von Heinz Mack für USD 1.764,00 (€ 1.597,83) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The Sale of the Century: An Important Corporate Collection of Prints and Multiples: Online bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Heinz Mack erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Kleiner Urwald. im November 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 1.190.000,00.
