Auction result well in line with expectations
The work In der Hängematte VI by Max Pechstein was sold in the Impressionist and Modern Art Day and Works on Paper Sale auction at Christies in London in June last year. The price achieved of GBP 22,680.00 (€ 26,347.71) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Max Pechstein achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Weib mit Inder auf Teppich (Vorderseite), Früchte II (Rückseite) in December 2011 with an auction result of EUR 3,480,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit In der Hängematte VI von Max Pechstein wurde im Juni letzten Jahres in der Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art Day and Works on Paper Sale bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 22.680,00 (€ 26.347,71) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Max Pechstein erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Weib mit Inder auf Teppich (Vorderseite), Früchte II (Rückseite) im Dezember 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 3.480.000,00.
