Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Celtic Sea, St. Agnes by Hiroshi Sugimoto was auctioned at Phillips in London in March this year. It changed hands for a price of GBP 27,940.00 (€ 31,787.15) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hiroshi Sugimoto achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Black Sea, Ozuluce; Yellow Sea, Cheju; Red Sea, Safaga in May 2007 with an auction result of USD 1,888,000.00 (€ 1,403,404.45).
