The work Tombeaux by Jan Vercruysse was sold in the Contemporary Art auction at Sothebys in Paris in May 2009. It achieved a price of EUR 8,750.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 25 %. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jan Vercruysse - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Atopie Iii, In 3 Parts, which sold at auction in April 2008 for USD 34,000.00 (€ 21,839.67).

Die Arbeit Tombeaux von Jan Vercruysse wurde im Mai 2009 in der Auktion Contemporary Art bei Sothebys in Paris versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 8.750,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 25 %. Für andere Arbeiten von Jan Vercruysse mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Atopie Iii, In 3 Parts beobachtet, die im April 2008 für USD 34.000,00 (€ 21.839,67) versteigert wurde.
