Auction result misses estimated price range
In April this year a collector was able to acquire the work Three prints by the artist by Jean (Hans) Arp for USD 1,764.00 (€ 1,597.83). This price was achieved in the auction The Sale of the Century: An Important Corporate Collection of Prints and Multiples: Online at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 4,500.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean (Hans) Arp achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Déméter in November 2018 with an auction result of USD 5,825,000.00 (€ 5,144,396.36).
