Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Flowering Plant by Jeff Wall was auctioned at Phillips in New York in October last year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 15,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 15,120.00 (€ 15,220.46). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jeff Wall achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Dead Troops Talk (A vision after an ambush of a Red Army patrol, near Moqor, Afghanistan, winter 1986) in May 2012 with an auction result of USD 3,666,500.00 (€ 2,965,464.25).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Flowering Plant von Jeff Wall kam im Oktober letzten Jahres bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 15.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 15.120,00 (€ 15.220,46) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jeff Wall erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Dead Troops Talk (A vision after an ambush of a Red Army patrol, near Moqor, Afghanistan, winter 1986) im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 3.666.500,00 (€ 2.965.464,25).
