Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Jimmy De Sana could be acquired at Christies in New York in April 2005 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Photographs auction, the work Smoke (Auto Portrait), 1985 changed hands for USD 600.00 (€ 464.43) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jimmy De Sana achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Selected Images in October this year with an auction result of USD 9,525.00 (€ 9,013.06).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jimmy De Sana konnte im April 2005 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Photographs wechselte die Arbeit Smoke (Auto Portrait), 1985 für USD 600,00 (€ 464,43) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jimmy De Sana erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Selected Images im Oktober diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 9.525,00 (€ 9.013,06).
