Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Parasite by Jon Kessler was sold in the Post-War and Contemporary Art auction at Christies in London in April 2006. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,000.00 – 2,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,200.00 (€ 1,731.94) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Jon Kessler have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled (Favela) in February 2007 with an auction result of USD 13,200.00 (€ 9,977.32).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Parasite von Jon Kessler wurde im April 2006 in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.200,00 (€ 1.731,94) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jon Kessler auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled (Favela) im Februar 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 13.200,00 (€ 9.977,32).
