Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Käthe Kollwitz could be acquired at Christies in London in December 2014 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Prints & Multiples auction, the work Besuch Im Krankenhaus changed hands for GBP 2,750.00 (€ 3,540.16) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Käthe Kollwitz achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work „Abschied“. in October 2018 with an auction result of EUR 437,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Käthe Kollwitz konnte im Dezember 2014 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Prints & Multiples wechselte die Arbeit Besuch Im Krankenhaus für GBP 2.750,00 (€ 3.540,16) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Käthe Kollwitz erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit „Abschied“. im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 437.500,00.
