Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May this year Bukowski in Stockholm held the auction Modern Art + Design, which included this untitled work by Karel Appel. Here, the upper estimate of SEK 80,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for SEK 85,000.00 (€ 7,324.01). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Karel Appel achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Two birds and a Flower in December 2012 with an auction result of EUR 841,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai diesen Jahres führte Bukowski in Stockholm die Auktion Modern Art + Design durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Karel Appel zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von SEK 80.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für SEK 85.000,00 (€ 7.324,01) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Karel Appel erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Two birds and a Flower im Dezember 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 841.000,00.
