Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Maus by Katharina Fritsch was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in December 2021. Here, the upper estimate of USD 7,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 7,560.00 (€ 6,679.63). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Katharina Fritsch achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Geist und Blutlache in October 2005 with an auction result of GBP 159,200.00 (€ 234,771.89).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Maus von Katharina Fritsch kam im Dezember 2021 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 7.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 7.560,00 (€ 6.679,63) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Katharina Fritsch erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Geist und Blutlache im Oktober 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 159.200,00 (€ 234.771,89).
