Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
The work PINOCCHIO by Kaws was worth USD 118,750.00 (€ 108,895.00) to a buyer in September 2019. This price was achieved in the auction New Now at Phillips in New York and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of USD 30,000.00 many times over. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kaws achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (Kimpsons #1) in October 2019 with an auction result of HKD 57,877,000.00 (€ 6,615,255.49).

Die Arbeit PINOCCHIO von Kaws war einem Käufer im September 2019 USD 118.750,00 (€ 108.895,00) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion New Now bei Phillips in New York erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von USD 30.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kaws erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (Kimpsons #1) im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 57.877.000,00 (€ 6.615.255,49).
