Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by LA II could be acquired at Phillips in New York in March 2008 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Under the Influence auction, the work Flair changed hands for USD 3,500.00 (€ 2,214.49) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by LA II have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Police Shield. 2010 in September 2020 with an auction result of USD 20,160.00 (€ 17,204.30).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von LA II konnte im März 2008 bei Phillips in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Under the Influence wechselte die Arbeit Flair für USD 3.500,00 (€ 2.214,49) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von LA II auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Police Shield. 2010 im September 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 20.160,00 (€ 17.204,30).
