This work without title by Lee Bontecou was auctioned at Christies in New York in July 2020. It achieved a price of USD 150,000.00 (€ 127,399.35), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 25%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lee Bontecou achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in May this year with an auction result of USD 8,690,000.00 (€ 8,156,560.92).

Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Lee Bontecou kam im Juli 2020 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 150.000,00 (€ 127.399,35) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 25%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lee Bontecou erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 8.690.000,00 (€ 8.156.560,92).
