Auction result well in line with expectations
In April this year Christies in New York held the auction The Sale of the Century: An Important Corporate Collection of Prints and Multiples: Online, which included the work Three prints by the artist by Lyonel Feininger. The price achieved of USD 6,300.00 (€ 5,706.52) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lyonel Feininger achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Jesuiten Iii (Jesuits Iii) in May 2007 with an auction result of USD 23,280,000.00 (€ 17,304,690.40).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April diesen Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion The Sale of the Century: An Important Corporate Collection of Prints and Multiples: Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Three prints by the artist von Lyonel Feininger zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 6.300,00 (€ 5.706,52) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lyonel Feininger erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Jesuiten Iii (Jesuits Iii) im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 23.280.000,00 (€ 17.304.690,40).
