Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
This work without title by Manuel Ocampo was sold in the Contemporary Art (Day Sale) auction at Christies in New York in May 2000. It achieved a price of USD 5,875.00 (€ 6,298.24), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 18%. Admittedly, works by Manuel Ocampo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Los Comicos Ambulantes in December last year with an auction result of USD 32,760.00 (€ 30,622.55).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Manuel Ocampo wurde im Mai 2000 in der Auktion Contemporary Art (Day Sale) bei Christies in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 5.875,00 (€ 6.298,24) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 18%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Manuel Ocampo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Los Comicos Ambulantes im Dezember letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 32.760,00 (€ 30.622,55).
