Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Mount Fuji Sunrise by Marc Quinn was auctioned at Christies in London in June this year. The price achieved of GBP 44,100.00 (€ 51,324.81) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 35,000.00 – 55,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marc Quinn achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Myth Venus in May 2014 with an auction result of USD 1,325,000.00 (€ 971,407.62).

Die Arbeit Mount Fuji Sunrise von Marc Quinn kam im Juni diesen Jahres bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 44.100,00 (€ 51.324,81) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 35.000,00 – 55.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Marc Quinn erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Myth Venus im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.325.000,00 (€ 971.407,62).
