Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work From France by Marisol Escobar was sold in the Post-War and Contemporary Art Morning Session auction at Christies in New York in May 2018. It achieved a price of USD 287,500.00 (€ 246,358.18), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 15%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Marisol Escobar - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Andy, which sold at auction in May 2012 for USD 794,500.00 (€ 642,591.39).
