Auction result well in line with expectations
In June last year Christies in London held the auction Impressionist and Modern Art Day and Works on Paper Sale, which included the work Marine, mer montante, Yport by Maxime Maufra. It changed hands for a price of GBP 18,900.00 (€ 21,956.42) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Maxime Maufra have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Le Vent in November 2011 with an auction result of USD 266,500.00 (€ 198,097.08).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni letzten Jahres führte Christies in London die Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art Day and Works on Paper Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Marine, mer montante, Yport von Maxime Maufra zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 18.900,00 (€ 21.956,42) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Maxime Maufra auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Le Vent im November 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 266.500,00 (€ 198.097,08).
