Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2017 Christies in New York held the auction First Open | Post-War & Contemporary Art, which included the work Pane della Storia by Mimmo Paladino. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 8,125.00 (€ 6,870.45) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mimmo Paladino achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Vespero in November 2008 with an auction result of EUR 216,750.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2017 führte Christies in New York die Auktion First Open | Post-War & Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Pane della Storia von Mimmo Paladino zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 8.125,00 (€ 6.870,45) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mimmo Paladino erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Vespero im November 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 216.750,00.
